How much will it cost to have my staircase remodeled?

Remodeling a staircase is one of the more expensive renovations to have done to your home, but it also brings some of the greatest value and beauty. I am more than happy to sit down with you to discuss your needs and what fits in your budget. I've built staircases that were $2500 and ones that were more than $40,000. The cost of each project changes drastically depending on style and materials.

How long does it take to complete the project?

Unlike many other industries, there are nearly no pre-fabricated stair systems. This means that I need to build and cut into place every piece of the staircase. In general, the average staircase will take a little more than a week to install and then another several days for the staining and finishing.

During the construction, will I be able to use my staircase?

Yes. You will have access to your staircase during all phases of the construction.

Do you only do remodels or can you build the staircase in my new custom home?

Custom staircases are our specialty, it’s what we do. This may mean assisting the homeowner to design their perfect staircase or working with an architect, interior designer, or general contractor to create a custom look that fits with the rest of the house.

What species of wood can you build my staircase out of?

It’s possible to use any species of wood. However, maple and oak are the most commonly used for staircases. Keep in mind that the more exotic woods are more expensive and take longer to order. Additionally, not all woods have characteristics that are well suited for staircases.

Can you replace my old wood balusters with iron balusters?

Yes. There are very few instances when it can’t be done.

What payment methods do you accept?

Currently, we accept cash and checks.

Do you sell any stair parts?

No. We build and install custom staircases. We are not a stair parts supplier.
